BULLS HOME WIN STREAK STOPPED AT SIX
LHP Cliff Lee pitched six strong innings and the Buffalo Bisons held off a late rally for a 6-4 win over the Durham Bulls on Thursday night at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The loss is just the Bulls' second in their last 15 home games and ends the Bulls home winning streak at six games.
Lee (4-0) allowed just one run (earned) on six hits over six innings. He struck out six and walked two. RHP Chad Paronto allowed three runs (one earned) in two innings of relief, but struck out Matt Diaz with two men on base to end the game.
Lyle Mouton went 2-for-3 with an RBI double and scored a run in his first game with the Bisons. Scott Pratt went 2-for-5 with a two-run single and Chris Magruder had a double and scored twice.
Ryan Jackson went 4-for-5 with a pair of RBI to lead the Bulls offense. Jason Tyner went 2-for-5 and scored two runs and Brooks Badeaux went 2-for-5 with a triple and scored a run.
RHP Delvin James (3-5) took the defeat after allowing six runs (earned) on eight hits in five innings. He struck out three and walked three. RHP Evan Rust followed with three hitless innings in relief.
